chéri
So it was a bit odd but my favorite movies tend to be that way. It gives Marie Antoinette a run for its money in terms of beauty and sugary sweet ridiculousness in the depiction of the Belle Époque period, is most definitely a shoe-in for a costume design Oscar nomination, and had a brilliant score by Alexandre Desplat. Michelle Pfeiffer and Kathy Bates were amazing and Rupert Friend is a class act brooder in addition to being very pretty.
